DeepSeek and Cybersecurity: An Unlikely Intersection
I don't think I've ever heard AI and cyberattack mentioned in the same sentence until now. DeepSeek, a new Chinese AI application similar to ChatGPT, is making waves as a major competitor. With all the hype surrounding it, DeepSeek quickly shot to the top of the app store charts on both Android and iOS within its first day of public release.
However, DeepSeek was also at the center of a cyberattack. Hackers exploited a publicly accessible database, gaining full control over its operations and exposing highly sensitive information.
Everything seems to be fine with DeepSeek as of this morning. I've always said that AI is here to stay, and we're already seeing how competitive this market is becoming.
What are your thoughts? Do you use AI?
ADVICE AND TIPS:
Is Linux > Windows
A Couple reasons to explore Linux
In my experience, there has been one thing that has been very noticeable. That thing is that its hard to find Linux administrators.
For that reason I think Linux can help you out within the job market. Below I list some reasons I think you should learn Linux.
💰 Cost-Effective Powerhouse
Linux is free! Instead of paying for expensive Windows licenses, you can install Linux on older hardware or run it as a virtual machine. Businesses love it too—it powers many servers and data centers because it’s secure, stable, and cost-effective.
💼 Versatility = More Job Opportunities
Most people start with Windows, but Linux is everywhere—from servers and mobile phones to cloud platforms. Many IT roles require Linux skills, and knowing both Linux and Windows makes you a stronger, more competitive candidate.
🌱 Growth & Career Advancement
Mastering Linux expands your technical abilities, builds confidence, and unlocks new career paths. If you're working with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, Linux is essential.
🔥 Linux Runs the World!
From Gmail and Android to Tesla and Netflix, Linux powers much of the tech we use daily. Major platforms like Facebook and AWS rely on Linux at their core.
Ready to level up? Start learning Linux today and open the door to more job opportunities, higher salaries, and greater flexibility in IT.
